Anija Miłuńska - I’m a philosopher by education, for many years I have been practicing Zen buddhism and other forms of meditation, I became acquainted with various indigenous spiritual traditions which finally led me to discover the roots of European spirituality in the culture of Old Europe. I’m restoring a contemporary version of the Goddess myth to the world, the Mysteries of Demeter and Persephone as well as a way of celebrating life in alignment with the triple rhythm: life – death – rebirth. I’m the author of a deep transformation method founded on work with fairy-tales and myths, the energy of elements, totems and the healing power of the circle. Since 1998 I have been running workshops and organising ceremonies for women and girls, since 2009 – also for men. I created the Circle of Mother Earth’s Daughters and the Women Association Dakini. Since 2007, together with the women from the Association, I have been inviting people to travel the wheel of the year and celebrate together the Goddess Rhythm. The goal of all my activities is to make it possible for us to rebuild a world in which every living, feeling creature – a human being, a tree, an animal – is more valuable than money and power. I have deep love for flowers and trees, so I tend my garden. I also write fairy-tales, stories and poems, looking for ways to rebuild the female epic – some of them you can find here www.dakini.org.pl and here http://e-nowyswiat.poczytaj.to/

Beata Frankowska The President. I’m a storyteller who combines the art of telling stories with the experience of a female circle and discovering female tradition. I tell stories to children and adults, I work with traditional and personal stories. I run workshops for different groups of people, also intellectually disabled. I believe deeply that stories can heal. I’m in the process of discovering my medicine of assisting in the experience of birth and death. Within the association I’m mainly involved in the Goddess projects, e g “The Goddess’s Rythm.” I have a daughter Małgosia and a son Marcinek.

Monika Jóźwiak I’m the Vice President. I graduated from the History Department at Warsaw University and later I worked for different NGOs and institutions supporting people. Workshops run by Anija and the association’s activities mobilize and help me to discover and realize my life goals. I care about what happens with the Earth and her children – not only people. I think it is vital to restore respect for the Earth on spiritual level but also by specific, everyday activities. That is why within the association I co-run the project “For the Earth.” I also design and make felt jewellery. It is my work, passion and a way to relax. My dream is to meet a black panther and I feel I’ll need to visit South America to make it happen...

Joanna Miś I have a degree in English, I work for Greenpeace as the coordinator of the anti-GMO campaign. I have been a member of Dakini Association since the very beginning, I was its vice president for two years. Plants and animals have always been important for me. Working with fairy-tales helped me discover myself, exploring their motives connected to femininity made me realize that the fates of the Earth and women are related. I love reading old myths and Goddess stories, I’m fascinated by their anthropological and archeological context. I like doing yoga. I live in Warsaw with my daughter Marysia. We love playing with our rabbit and watching adventures of Peppa Pig.

Natalia Miłuńska I’m one of the founders of the Dakini Association, I was its president. For the last several years I’ve been trying to change women’s attitude to menstruation. I created a website www.menstruation.eu and I produce ecological sanitary pads. I organize Red Tent workshops – meetings with the body and its wisdom, the experience of menstruation and lunar rythm. Within the association I co-run the project “For the Earth.” Dreams are my guides. I completed “Dream Circle Leadership Course” by Connie Kaplan and I lead a Dream Circle in Warsaw. I love snakes and dance, especially Hula from Hawaii, I also love travels to remote places.

Aissa Zakrzewska I graduated from the English Studies Department, I teach and translate – Anija’s work with the most pleasure and convictionJ I have participated in her workshops from 2000. Thanks to them I could discover who I am and what I have to do and give here, in this life. One of my discoveries was a desire to work with the body – in the form of the traditional Hawaiian massage Lomi Lomi Nui, which I’ve been practicing since 2007. I also became a guardian of the Peace Pipe. She teaches me how to serve and experience unity. I’m a member of a dream circle and it’s a fascinating experience, opening a new dimension of spiritual practice. I love travelling – for years I’ve been a member of an international peace and travel organization Servas – currently I’m the Polish branch’s National Secretary. I love good music and good novels.

Joanna Reniger I have a degree in cartography. Currently I’m working as a graphic designer, but I used to do a variety of jobs – selling yoghurt in a shop, editing a Warsaw guide, performing in a musical. I love making things, especially from nothing. I’ve made all my furniture, I make bags, dream catchers, I also paint. I’d always been searching, only I didn’t know what exactly I wanted to find. When I joined Anija’s workshops 8 years ago, I felt like I’d returned home. Finally someone who was asking similar questions, who understood what I was talking about. There, my desires and feeling began to take shape, I received tools to help me heal my life. 4 years ago I discovered Hula dance and Lomi Lomi Nui massage from Hawaii. I visited the islands and learned from native teachers among blooming hibiscus and plumeria flowers. I opened a Hula group in Warsaw – feel invited!

Monika Żelazek I’m a pedagogue, a sociotherapist, Anija’s disciple. For the last 7 years I’ve been discovering with other women the nature of our power and wisdom. I can experience the healing power of stories and working in the circle. Thus I can heal my life, overcome crises, find joy and strength, appreciate weakness... I learn to share what I have, to realize my dreams. Writing is my biggest passion. I write stories, poems, fairy-tales. I also like painting, dancing, singing and playing the drums with my husband Jacek. We have two sons - Franciszek and Mikołaj.

Kalina Górka I’m an “unfulfilled” economist and a fulfilled woman, wife and mother of Agata and Franek. I’ve been a disciple of Anija for 8 years, her assistant for 4. I was the vice president of the association for two years. Meeting women at workshops run by Anija is for me a source of unending inspiration and motivation for changing my life. My main occupations are: handcrafts, cooking delicious dishes for whoever’s around and stroking my two cats. I love meeting people, swimming and walking in the forest.

Karolina Kosko I’m a pedagogue. For the last 11 years I’ve been working with children and teenagers in different NGOs and as a nanny. For four years now I’ve been running a nursery – my dream. First it was in Warsaw Praga and currently with my partner Zuza Cytrycka we have a place for kids and parents in Sadyba – “Mały Domek.” I learned following my dreams, faith in life, trust, noticing and enjoying the abundance around me from Anija and many other women with whom I’ve been in Anija’s workshops and in the association. I’m the mother of a boy – Rysio, born in October 07. For a year I co-ran a workshop “Return to Woman’s Power,” since September 09 I’ve been assisting Anija in her workshop “Goddess Rythm.”

Beata Kurowska-Rumińska I’m a politologist and sociotherapist. I used to work with children and teenagers in a psychological centre, I also trained teachers and pedagogues in sociotherapy. For years now I’ve been running workshops inviting women to work in a circle, to get to know themselves, to work with fairy-tales – using Anija Miłuńska’s method. I’ve also benefited a lot from my participation in the association. I care about the Earth and what happens with her in contemporary world. I love travelling with my family, I have an 8-year old daughter, Róża. I like sometimes to do “nothing.”

Katina Kowalak I have a degree in English. I used to teach English, I also worked in an advertising agency. 8 years ago my path connected with femininity started. Participating in Anija’s workshops and healing my story there, I discovered how big my desire to work with women was. I’m proud that I followed it and devoted myself to fathoming female experiences. For 3 years I ran workshops using Anija’s method. For 2 years I was the association's president. My intention is work for the Earth. I like good food and music. I am a trainer of Ma-uri massage.

Beata Kołodziejczyk I’m a midwife, I discovered my vocation during Anija’s workshops. Before I realised my passions in many different ways – I taught English and translated, I worked for a few NGOs (feminist, concerned with giving birth). I organized exhibitions and cultural events. To become a midwife I finished the Warsaw Medical University – in my work I combine medical knowledge with discoveries made in the women’s circle. I prepare women and couples for giving birth in hospital or at home, if they wish I assist them in labour as a doula or an assisting midwife. I work using Anija Miłuńska’s deep transformation method. I learned my skills from my teacher, home midwife Irena Chołuj and the team od midwives from Warsaw Birth Home (2005 – 2008). Nowadays I assist new mothers, supporting them in their first experiences.

For me birth is a process which encompasses the body, the heart and the soul of a woman, her history and the relationship with her partner as well as with other people, and the process of her baby. Following the body’s needs, experiencing its power and wisdom can be an incredible path towards better understanding of herself, towards growth and self-development. While preparing couples to giving birth I take into account all these aspects of experience.

Magda Rudnik I'm an editor by profession. My interests centre round widely understood recreation - tai chi practice, running, swimming, but also cooking and growing herbs and flowers. I like wandering around new places, discovering my own paths. For a few years now I've been living in Żyrardów - a town built about 180 years ago around a flax factory - which I discovered and chose as the place to settle. I feel close to Zen Buddhism.

Elza Wyszyńska I'm 68 years old, I'm one of the association's founders, a grandmother of two, boy and girl, and a mother of a son. The most important for me is to share Mother Earth's love with my loved ones and with the world. I'm learning how to do it in the association.

Magda Cebulak I’m a psychologist, I work with autistic children, children with Down syndrome and other disabilities. For a year I worked in Karolina and Zuza’s nursery with healthy children – I learned a lot there. From 2000 I’ve been a member of Anija’s workshops. Thanks to her and other women I learned to trust myself and the Life Forces which guide me. I experienced the power of sisterhood, gratitude and being a member of a spiritual community. I learned to care about people and Mother Earth. My life changed and many aspects healed. I love animals, especially wolves. I like taking photos, meeting people and being close to the Earth, where you can touch trees, look at the sky and hear the silence. My dreams also guide me. Now I live in Koszalin, close to the sea.

Anna Skorupa I worked as a theatre actress, a teacher of Polish and now I direct documentaries. My latest film tells the story of a Gypsy woman who as a child lived with her clan in a camp. I’d like to document in films the culture and spirituality of the Roma. My passion is also travelling to the Middle East and North Africa – to places where the memory of nomad life is still alive, where people have close contact with the Earth, the desert. There, among Arabs, Kurds and Berbers I met people and experienced music and idigenous traditions close to my heart. I’ve been a member of Anija’s workshops for 8 years, I learn and experience (recallJ) the power of the circle and female spiritual path. Since I gave birth to a daughter I’ve been feeling a desire to accompany and serve pregnant women in this incredible time of their life – this desire is beginning to take shape as specific activity. The wisdom of the body and dreams guide me. I enjoy listening to people’s dreams, share mine, work with them. I love dancing, listening to music and reading to my daughter, Lenka. We travel together with my husband, Artur.
